Our Mission

The threefold mission of Palm Beach Theater Guild, Inc is to preserve the historic John Volk- designed Royal Poinciana Playhouse in Palm Beach as venue for the performing arts, to manage the Royal Poinciana Playhouse,  and produce regional subscription seasons  of plays and musicals.

Goals

The company, a 501 (c ) (3) not for profit corporation approved by the Internal Revenue Service and formed by local residents), will transition the Royal Poinciana Playhouse from a booking house for road shows to a regional theater. The Palm Beach Theater Guild will anchor its season --as well as serve an audience-- by producing a subscription season  of significant American and British plays showcasing well-know performers.

The Palm Beach Theater Guild will also provide a performance venue for other cultural events—including dance and music-- and sponsor a separate screening room for art films in the "Celebrity Room" attached to the theater. 

In the summer, the Guild will sponsor a young adult (Age 16-28) theater training institute work-shopping new American Musicals.
